Top 5 – Fall Nail Polish

If you’re like me, by the end of summer you can’t wait to crack out the dark and moody nail polish colors for fall.  There is something very satisfying when you leave the light, bright colors of summer behind and find your dark side.  Today I am sharing my top five nail colors for fall. Most of these have been long time favorites that I bring out every year.

First up is Butter London’s nail varnish in the color Brown Sugar.  I have a love hate relationship with glitter nail polish. I love the sparkle, I HATE getting the glitter off.  This beautiful copper by Butter London however, is the best of both.  It’s a gorgeous fall color with a little sparkle, and it isn’t the world’s biggest challenge to remove.  This is great for the holidays as it adds a bit of shine! Next is my version of the perfect nude nail color.  OPI Tickle My France-y. This is more of a mauve/pink but it goes nice with my skin tone and looks better than a tan nude color on me.  This is a very pretty, subtle shade and a great one if you work in an office and want your nails to look professional but not too out there. My all time favorite and cult classic is OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark.  This is the perfect almost black/purple color that looks great on all skin tones!  I think this is the only nail polish I’ve actually ever repurchased — that’s how much I wear it.  I love this for a pedicure as well.  This is the polish I reach for the most as I know it always looks good and goes with everything! One of my favorite nail polish brands is next with Smith & Cult.  They are a “clean” nail polish line and have the most beautiful shade range. This color is Doe My Dear.  You can find this line on Amazon or Neiman Marcus.  I love this taupe-grey as it’s a beautiful transition color for the cooler months and I will be wearing it all season long. Last up is OPI’s Midnight in Moscow!  This is a deep brown almost burgundy color with a copper/gold shimmer running through.  This is such a beautiful color and one of my favorites for the cooler weather.

While getting a professional manicure or shellac is amazing, I love doing my nails at home as I like to change the color up frequently.  My favorite base coats are Nailtiques Formula 2 protein base coat or the Orly The Bonder.  The only other reason I like doing my nails at home is that my favorite top coat makes them dry super fast and gives them a gorgeous shine.  The best top coat is the Seche VIte Fast Dry top coat.  It is a must have!

I hope you enjoyed my top nail color picks for fall- now bring on those cool, cozy days! <3
